After years of dedicated service without financial compensation, assembly members in Ghana are finally receiving their well-deserved payments. Their work has been demanding, yet unpaid, making governance at the local level challenging. President John Dramani Mahama, who pledged to address this issue, has now fulfilled his promise, ensuring that assembly members are recognized and supported for their crucial role in community development.
